Chapter 15 - WHERE THE LIGHT FALLS

Three months later.

The sun shone brightly through the west-facing windows of the Moretti mansion, casting a warm, golden beam across the hardwood floor and striking the fireplace mantel precisely where Elena had intended.

The mansion had been completely restored.

The dark, oppressive shadows of the past were gone, replaced by the bright warmth of a new beginning.

In the grand foyer, the massive antique mirror hung securely on the wall, its polished wood gleaming under the morning light.

Dominic stood at the bottom of the marble staircase, dressed in a sharp charcoal suit, waiting patiently.

Footsteps approached from the hallway.

Hannah walked in, wearing a graceful, elegant dress, carrying a portfolio of architectural blueprints for the newly reformed Moretti Charitable Foundation.

She had accepted Dominic’s offer to become the head director of the foundation, stepping out of the shadows of service and into a life of purpose and power.

She stopped on the bottom step and looked up at him.

“Are you ready for the board meeting, Mr. Moretti?” she asked with a playful smile.

Dominic smiled back—a real, warm smile that reached his eyes.

“I told you, Hannah. Call me Dominic.”

She laughed softly, stepping down to his side.

“Lead the way, Dominic.”

They walked out together through the grand front doors into the brilliant morning sunlight, leaving the dark past behind them forever.

The foundation was restored.

The guilty were paying for their crimes.

And justice, like sunlight through an old mirror, had finally found its way into the light.
