Chapter 6 - The Harbor Master's GambleOutside the glass-walled office, the heavy steel doors leading to the open-air drydock burst open. A team of armed tactical enforcers marched in, dragging a broad-shouldered man in a drenched harbor master uniform.

“Mr. Moretti,” the lead enforcer reported, snapping a crisp salute. “We intercepted Harbor Master Thomas trying to cut the mooring lines on the Atlantic Sovereign. He was attempting to pilot the freighter out into the open shipping lanes before the customs lock down took effect.”
Thomas snarled, spitting a mouthful of saltwater onto the concrete floor. “You can't hold us here! The Coast Guard is monitoring this channel! You’re committing an act of piracy!”
Dante stepped away from Teresa’s chair, walking slowly toward the harbor master. He didn't raise his voice, but the sheer predatory authority radiating from his posture made Thomas step back until his spine hit the concrete pillar.

“Piracy?” Dante repeated, a cold, humorless smile touching the corner of his lips. “In this harbor, Thomas, I am the law, the tide, and the dock. And right now, your ship is carrying stolen property belonging to the Moretti estate.”
Dante turned to Marcus. “Bring up the boarding ramp. I want every single container on that freighter opened and inventoried before the hour is out.”
