The morning sun cast a brilliant golden glow over the fully restored Cole estate.
The perimeter walls were rebuilt, stronger and taller than before.
The gardens bloomed with red roses and white lilies.
In the grand dining hall, sunlight streamed through cascading crystal chandeliers.
Leo sat at the head of the long mahogany table, laughing happily.
He was eating chocolate pancakes prepared by the estate's new private chef.
Evander stood by the French doors, wearing a tailored navy suit.
He watched Daisy walk down the grand marble staircase.
She wore a simple, elegant ivory silk dress that hugged her silhouette perfectly.
No housemaid's apron. No soot from burning warehouses.
Just the grace and quiet confidence of a queen stepping into her domain.
Evander walked forward to meet her at the base of the stairs.
He held out a small velvet box, opening it slowly.
Inside rested a stunning diamond ring—not the one Marceline had worn.
This one was unique, custom-designed with a rare pink sapphire at its center.
"You didn't have to do this," Daisy smiled softly, her eyes shining with happy tears.
"I didn't have to," Evander agreed, taking her hand in his.

"From the moment you pulled that bug out from under my chair..."

Daisy looked into his dark, devoted eyes and felt her heart swell completely.
"Yes," she whispered, her voice steady and clear.

Evander slid the ring onto her finger as applause echoed through the hall.
Viktor, the security guards, and the estate staff smiled warmly from the doorways.
Leo ran over, holding up a small glass of sparkling apple cider.
"To Mommy and Daddy!" Leo cheered proudly.
Evander and Daisy laughed, lifting their glasses to join him.
The glasses clinked together with a bright, joyful chime.
