Chapter 11 - The Sovereign’s UltimatumAs Genevieve’s screaming, pale-faced security detail scrambled to gather her up and bundle her out into the howling hurricane, Christian turned back toward Sofia.

She was standing frozen against a marble pillar, clutching the torn edges of her blouse together over her chest, trembling from head to toe as silent tears streamed down her pale cheeks.
Without a single second’s hesitation, Christian unbuttoned his custom Italian wool suit jacket, slipped it off his broad shoulders, and draped it gently around her. The warm fabric enveloped her completely, carrying the clean scent of cedarwood and rain.
He turned his gaze toward Barrett, who stood waiting by the doorway.
“Bring a cashmere wrap for my wife immediately,” Christian commanded, his voice brooking zero argument. “And summon the estate physician to the master suite. My son and my wife are moving into the executive quarters tonight.”
Sofia looked up at him through her tears, her heart hammering wildly against her ribs.
“Your... your wife?” she whispered, her voice barely audible over the wind.

Christian looked down at her with a fierce, unwavering devotion, resting his warm hand gently over hers where she clutched his jacket against her swollen belly.
“The moment you showed mercy to my father, Sofia,” Christian murmured softly, “you became the queen of this dynasty.”
