Chapter 15 - The Sunrise Over the Estate and The End

The morning sun rose slowly over the sprawling East Coast estate, cutting through the lingering winter fog and casting a brilliant, golden glow across the manicured lawns and towering pine trees. The storm had passed entirely, leaving behind a pristine landscape of white snow sparkling under a clear blue sky.
I stood on the balcony of our master bedroom, holding two cups of freshly brewed black coffee. The crisp morning air filled my lungs, cool and revitalizing. Down in the courtyard, security patrols moved with disciplined precision, but the heavy, oppressive tension that had defined my life for twenty years was entirely gone.
The door behind me clicked open. Footsteps approached softly, and a moment later, Isabella’s arms wrapped gently around my waist from behind, her cheek resting against my back.
I turned around in her embrace, handing her one of the ceramic mugs. We stood together side by side, leaning against the wrought-iron railing of the balcony, looking out over the empire we had built, broken, and ultimately saved together.
"Coffee?" I asked, smiling down at her.
"Just right," she replied, taking a sip and looking out toward the horizon where the sun was climbing higher into the morning sky.
Eleven years ago, we were two kids surviving in the brutal alleys of Brooklyn with nothing but blood, ambition, and a desperate hope for tomorrow. Along the way, I had lost my way, blinded by the superficial temptations of power, pride, and illusion. I had thought that being the most feared mafia boss on the East Coast meant I could rewrite the rules of loyalty and love.
I was wrong.
True power wasn't controlling seventeen hundred men or running twenty-three businesses. True power was standing beside the only woman who had never feared you, knowing that she chose to stay not out of obligation or fear, but because she loved the flawed, broken man beneath the mob boss exterior.
Isabella turned her head, looking up at me with a quiet, radiant smile that completely eclipsed every trophy, every luxury, and every crown I had ever fought to conquer.
"Ready for the rest of our lives, Dante?" she asked softly.
I pulled her closer, resting my chin against her hair as we watched the bright morning light flood across our world.

"Always, my Donna," I whispered.
**THE END.**
